Turmeric (and its wonderful flower) is a 60 to 70cm tall plant and resembles canna (an ornamental flowering plant) with large, upward-facing, pointed leaves that curl up on themselves. Everyone knows its rhizome that colors dishes and perfumes Indian cuisine. It is a digestive plant and a natural preservative.
In fact until now everyone follows the Indian tradition of using the rhizome but when passing near the plant I was seduced by the scent of the crumpled leaf; so I did the first distillation tests and the analyses surprised everyone. I immediately caught the attention of my friend Pierre Franchomme who assured me that it was an extremely interesting product with exceptional anti-tumor properties due to the high proportion of terpinolene (71% in my first distillation) This year I talk about it but I only had very little essential oil because the yield is very low but the little I have will go to treat a few people who need it and we have expanded the production area to have a few kilos at the next harvest and to be able to satisfy the needs of my partners
