PALMAROSA BIO

Cymbopogon Martinii Essential Oil

Our palmarosa is not at its maximum potential in geraniol (75%) but it does not contain any parasitic odor; that is to say that when we smell an Indian palmarosa it is a sweet, rosy, pleasant odor but there is a little parasitic odor in the background which spoils the perfume.. ours is clean it is floral, rosy, sweet and does not contain this little odor which I find annoying.

It is a very effective anti-infectious essential oil; antifungal, and in particular on Trichophyton rubrum (responsible for nail infections) on Candida albicans, a fungus responsible for candidiasis, as well as on other skin and even respiratory fungi.

It is also antibacterial, against many bacteria that are sensitive to geraniol: e.g. Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes, and Salmonella enterica, which sometimes cause poisoning.

It has recently been shown that B. burgdorferi, one of the bacteria implicated in Lyme disease, can persist in a dormant form in the body, which could explain the persistent symptoms. These dormant forms are not eliminated by antibiotics. In this study, the researchers tested and confirmed the antibacterial effects of several essential oils on these dormant forms, including palmarosa essential oil.
