Syzygium aromaticum (Old name eugenia caryophyllata) clove contains between 11 and 14% eugenyl acetate according to the AFNOR standard
Description
The flower bud of the clove tree must be picked before it hatches and becomes a flower, then dried to develop its aroma and distilled fairly quickly. It offers a fairly mild essential oil that is exceptionally rich in eugenol and eugenyl acetate. Use against infections and dental pain++ when applied pure with the finger or on a cotton swab. Action against intestinal parasites++ or digestive disorders, diarrhea, gas, for internal use a few drops on bread crumbs. Action on muscle fatigue in massage, diluted to 6% in calophyllum oil. Uterine stimulant, it promotes childbirth and therefore caution in use for pregnant women
