Cinnamomum verum (with predominantly cinnamaldehyde)
It takes one ton of dried bark, or 7 tons of fresh bark, for 4 kg of essential oil with a density heavier than water. This year we planted more than 6,000 cinnamon plants. We preserve an old plot of cinnamon forest where many species of birds nest and spread the seeds throughout the region. At the foot of the trees we maintain the soil so that it receives the seeds that fall when ripe and we collect the plants in this natural nursery to transplant them with sun and space to conserve the resource.
It is a plant that thrives here and its regional quality is recognized throughout Madagascar... it is the valley of cinnamon and cloves.
Description
It acts against muscle spasms, fatigue and as a sexual stimulant. It flavors dishes (chocolate mousse, speculoos, ch'ti ramisu, for example). Never use pure on the skin or in a bath (Dermocaustic).
Antiviral, major antibacterial of the pathogenic body flora. Major essential oil of the aromatogram. It is delicate to use at the therapeutic level because of its power but in good hands it works wonders.
Its warm, sweet and heady fragrance is enveloping and reassuring. In very fine dilution it offers an incomparable softness and delicacy. In olfaction it must be very diluted otherwise it risks irritating the mucous membranes.
